Floating breath

๐ŸŽ“ Taught live by a certified teacher ยท Premium
How it's practised

One of the classical eight kumbhakas: traditionally involves swallowing air into the stomach in controlled sips until the abdomen is fully distended, said to allow the body to float on water. The swallowing technique and safe limits can only be judged by a teacher watching in person.

Why this needs a teacher

This is one of the techniques Shwasly doesn't guide directly โ€” done incorrectly, air-swallowing practices can cause significant bloating, discomfort, or aspiration risk. Available with Premium via a live session with a certified teacher โ€” request one below.

Avoid if: Pregnancy, any digestive or gastrointestinal condition (including GERD, ulcers, hernia), recent abdominal surgery, or any swallowing/aspiration risk. Not appropriate for unsupervised or app-guided practice at all.
